Hello,

Is there a quick way to find the number of ways to make $1.75 using unlimited number of coins?

7 Quaters, or 175 pennies, and there are many ways in between.

Yes there is a fast way for solving this kind of problems. See chapter 8 of the book "Twenty More Problem Solving Skills for Mathcounts Competitions".
